asters such a cutie!

GRRR this was very cool. I like Aster and Oscar :)

So it's a solid 9/10 for me here.

I'll start with what I liked: the discripton was good, the uneasy feelings and, surprisingly, some good sreamers. The plot is awesome too, as well as characters. The path from my bedroom to the toilet in the dark was never this eery.

Now, about this 1 point i took out: the atmosphere was kinda ruined — you get scared one moment, the next — you're chilling with this calm and happy music. Also, i was hoping to get a little more visuals from spooks, but eh it's fine i guess. Game still scared the living poo out of me.

And, finally, bevare — spoilers ahead.

Maybe i stumbled across a bug, maybe it was me at fault. I alway give any female or nb mc name Ana (the short version of my long-ass name). It's important, because i gave my mc here this name too. And there i was — just finished my first route, got my first ending. Still pure and naive, yet already cautious. I start my second, type "Ana" again, and...our eldritch fairy's like "nah that's not your name bbg, i know who you are you are my enemy". At first i was like "huh r u playing with me?", but then no, Aster says "It's very nice to see you again. You.". Sooo yeaaahhh, the game changed my name to "You" somehow. Maybe i did something wrong idk.

But there's a bright side to everything: without Aster turning full mode joe goldberg i wouldn't know about 4th wall breaking business.

Long story short, now i can't sleep and i blame You :') Thank you for this game.

Yes, i come a year after the war...

But this game is one of the rare few that actually spooked me TF OUT. I wasn't expecting much when i started but oh....OH I WAS FOOLISH.
I absolutly love it, it's the exact type of game that manage to bug me off, and the feeling of something "not been right" is certainly one of my favorite !!
Even if the lore is a bit confuse, i can piece most of the things out (thanks to somes of you guys in the comment) and i find it even more inresting !!

However, i can't for the life of me find the two last ending...(。•́︿•̀。)
I've (again) went through the comment and severals yt vids, so i half know what it is, but stil...if someone can break it doxn for me i would owe you my life because curiosity is eating me up rn

Waiittt what are the 5 endings???

I got the one where Theo pull u out of the house, and the one where u leave the house with Oscar, and one where you accept aster.

What's the last 2!?? 😭😭😭

I'm pretty sure it's the different ways you refuse Aster the two other endings.

Holycow, this is amazing. I cannot believe this was a 10-day VF game. Jeez. I’m so glad I finally got to play! I absolutely loved each of the routes, the characters, their stories. I loved how you could see/feel their feelings for the MC - they each had chemistry, even when they talked about things being awkward or disliking it - it wasn’t that at all, it was great. Literally, only thing I noticed - in Theo’s, they mention his blue nails and blue eyes, but neither were blue. That’s literally it. Everything was so well-done, well-paced, well-developed. I loved the “voices”. I loved the music and sound effects. The graphics were great visuals, the changes in atmosphere so perfect. Even just the menu/UI change at that certain point was on-point, the cherry on top. I just absolutely loved this, I cannot get enough. I will keep replaying.

Oh! I absolutely LOVED the extras. I loved seeing them in a bunch of others’ styles, especially ones I love/d! Such an added bonus, truly.

And, if anybody has any recs of games like this, please throw them my way! I want/need more of this.

holy shit this was so good!! and terrifying honestly 😭😭😭 it gave me the creeps in the best way possible... i changed my name to see what happened and the 4th wall breaks scared me so much--- IT REMEMBERED MY NAME HELP

Its crazy how, as soon as I seen Aster pop up on screen, I giggled and kicked my feet and said "Aster... it ain't even Halloween yet and you're already dressed up as my baby girl." Little did I know how true that would end up being~

At the start, I was completely unaware of the digital sounds of the voices the characters made. It threw me off, but I quickly went back into learning the story. It's a great game! The backgrounds are pretty, and that goes for the art style with the characters as well! Along with the visual options I thought that was pretty neat as well!

Looool, this unnerved me so much I actually quit the game! When I'm feeling... stable enough, I'll actually get round to finishing it. I just wanted to comment and say, I've played a few thriller vns and games in my time. Weirdly, none of them even came close to the levels of uneasiness this made me feel, and I mean that in a positive way. The art, the cheery music, and the funny sort of digital voice acting (???) would normally take the edge off, but it didn't. Like the mc says, I felt my internal systems firing off and screaming "Danger!"

i started this game a while ago and didnt finish it, but now that i have, i would reccomend this game to ANYONE!! well-written, well drawn, engaging story, routes, and characters-- i loved it!

Took me awhile to get to playing this, but this was well worth the read.

I did enjoy the descriptions of the horrors that MC goes through as the story progresses. I couldn't help but think back on MyHouse.wad (I swear, I'll finish House Of Leaves one day) with their descent into madness.

My critique of the game exists only in its use of audio and the lack of visuals for some of the more terrifying parts of the game. There are some moments where I feel the cheery music really undercuts the terror, and I'm often left wishing we could witness the horror for ourselves.

However, being a jam game - I can understand how the time constraint could affect these aspects. I can only hope that either this game or the team's future horror entries will improve over time.

Definitely give this game a shot. The text and available scenes still convey the intensity of the horror, and it definitely helps that there are such cute men you can attempt to romance.

The game was so unexpected holy sh and AAASASAAAAAAA I LOVE THEO GODAMN IT AAA

I absolutely adored this game, I am very curious if there will be any more released revolving around them? (totally not needing more Aster xD)

OMGosh!! I wanted to wait till I finished playing entirely to comment but i am HOOKED on this story now! I'll try not to spoil anything but this was an amazing experience!! I was desperately searching for more answers after playing but love it none the less!! I hope you enjoy watching my playthroughs if you chose to. ALSO I want to ask before I do it, would it be OK with you if I also made a video reading the 1000 download celebration short stories as well? This is such a phenomenal story and ALL the characters are so likable, I would totally read an entire novel about this story!!

Having 'the king in yellow' suddenly appear amongst the books was really unexpected, and now I'm worried for my poor MC

(+4)

I never realized how frightening it can be to be engrossed in a game and reading in silence, only to be startled by sudden loud noises. this game truly made me feel uneasy even after i finished it ;') lovely game, i definitely recommend it!

Okay, now I'm extra glad I play with the sound off
